ROSELLA HOPE SEMPLE Peacefully with her family at her side, Rosella Semple passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the age of 79 years. Rosella is survived by daughter Janice of Winnipeg; son Barry (Lorrie) of Hamiota; daughter Laurie (Dale McGillivary) of Carman; five grandchildren, Nadine and Jared Semple, Parker, Brady and Brook McGillivary. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd in 2002; son Bryan in 1971; granddaughter Janine Semple in 1983 and one sister. Rosella was born in Edmonton, AB, where she met Lloyd, whom she married in 1948. In 1957 the family moved to Winnipeg, where Rosella raised her children while helping Lloyd in their business of Carleton Hatcheries. In 1974, Rosella, Lloyd and family moved to Carman. Along with continuing raising her family, Rosella was librarian at the Boyne Regional Library from 1974 to 1993. Here she demonstrated her passion for reading and love of books. She was also active in Toast Mistresses and in the On Cue Dinner Theatre in Carman. Rosella loved and supported her grandchildren in all their activities and events. A celebration of her life will take place on Tuesday, February 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Doyle's Funeral Chapel in Carman with Rev. Judy Limpright officiating.
